This Privacy Policy explains what information gotimg.com (“gotimg”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects when you use our website and image-hosting service (the “Service”), and how we use it. By using the Service, you agree to this Policy and our Terms of Service.
What we collect
We collect only what we need to run the Service and handle abuse or removal requests:
- Images you upload - the file itself, plus basic technical details such as file type, size, and original filename (if provided).
- Uploader fingerprint - a hashed (scrambled) form of your IP address, used only for abuse prevention. We do not store your raw IP address for this purpose.
- Removal request information - if you submit our Removal Request form, we collect the image links and reason you provide.
- Bot-protection data - we use Cloudflare Turnstile to reduce spam and automated abuse. Cloudflare may process technical data as part of that check.
- Basic server/log data - standard technical information needed to operate and secure the website (for example, request timing and error logs).
We do not require an account, and we do not ask for your name or payment details to upload images.
How we use information
- To store and serve images you upload;
- To prevent spam, fraud, and abuse;
- To review and action removal / copyright requests;
- To operate, secure, and improve the Service; and
- To comply with applicable law.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We use service providers that help us run gotimg:
- Cloudflare - hosting, security, CDN, storage, and Turnstile bot protection.
- Email delivery provider - used only to notify our team when a removal request is submitted (we do not email the submitter back automatically).
We may also disclose information if required by law, or if needed to protect the Service, our rights, or the rights of others.
How long we keep information
- Uploaded images are kept until removed by us or through a valid removal request (unless we later enable automatic expiry).
- Removal requests are kept as needed to review the request and maintain an abuse/takedown record.
- Technical/abuse fingerprints are kept only as long as useful for security and abuse prevention.
Cookies and similar technology
We do not use advertising cookies. Cloudflare Turnstile and our hosting provider may set or use strictly necessary cookies or similar technology for security and basic operation of the Service.
Children
The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information to us, please contact us using the address below and we will take appropriate steps.
Your choices
- You can stop using the Service at any time.
- To request removal of an image, use our Removal Request form.
- If you submitted a removal request and want to follow up, mail us at the address below and include the image link(s).
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
